Statement on the “English Only” Executive Order

As an organization, our mission is “To serve as a leading organization in Arizona for English language professionals at all levels to network, advocate, and develop professionally”. The executive order “Designating English as the Official Language of The United States” undermines everything we stand for.

In light of this, AZTESOL would like to share the statements from TESOL International Association and the National Association for Bilingual Education. We encourage all AZTESOL members to review these statements in order to understand the impact of this decision.
