2026 AZTESOL Conference: Multilingual Pathways
On October 24, 2026, AZTESOL welcomed educators, researchers, and educational partners to Mesa Community College for the annual state conference, Multilingual Pathways: Empowering Language Learners and Educators.
The conference brought together 160 attendees from K–12 schools, colleges, universities, and educational organizations to share research, explore effective practices, and strengthen connections across Arizona’s multilingual education community.
The day featured four rounds of breakout sessions, interactive workshops, research presentations, and poster sessions exploring topics such as instructional scaffolding, translanguaging, language assessment, educational equity, and teacher leadership. Featured speaker Kathy Hoffman, former Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction, challenged educators to consider how policies and educational systems can expand opportunities for multilingual learners.
Beyond the sessions, the conference provided opportunities for meaningful professional connections, collaboration, and shared learning. AZTESOL extends its appreciation to the presenters, sponsors, exhibitors, volunteers, and participants who made the event possible.
