Dr. Aparicio holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership, complemented by master’s degrees in Curriculum and Instruction with an English as a Second Language focus and in Educational Administration and Supervision.
At ASU, Dr. Aparicio supports pre-service graduate teachers in both Elementary and Secondary Education Certification programs, drawing on her specialized knowledge in mathematics instruction and English Language Learner education. Prior to her current role, she contributed as an Instructional Coach providing professional development in ELL methodologies and Problem-Based Enhanced Language Learning across Arizona. As a Clinical Instructor, she supervised teacher interns while teaching courses on classroom management, Structured English Immersion, and curriculum design.
Dr. Aparicio built her educational foundation as a 6th grade and middle school mathematics teacher, where she developed particular insight into effective math instruction for diverse learners, including English Language Learners. This classroom experience, along with her subsequent administrative work, informs her practical approach to teacher preparation.
