Professional Background
Alissa has been an English language professional since 2000, teaching at universities and institutes in Ecuador, Kuwait, Egypt, and the United States. She holds a master’s degree in TESOL from Colorado State University and a DELTA qualification from the University of Cambridge. She has also served as an English Language Specialist for the U.S. Department of State.
Her leadership experience includes coordinating community-based English language programs, developing online teacher education courses, and serving on curriculum committees and a local TESOL board. She is currently involved in professional development initiatives focused on English Medium Instruction (EMI) and the integration of AI tools for educators.
